My name is Katie Edmisten, and I am a senior student of Communication with a Sociology minor at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina! I am engaged in a Social Media Strategies class and I have discovered a passion for blogging and social media through it. 

     My hope is to  one day work with a non-profit organization promoting a cause I can truly stand behind. Included in my  many passions is a deep-rooted love for music, which has led to my social media work with local band and close friends of mine, A Fleeting Farewell. When I cannot be found at Appalachian State pursuing my career, I am also known to enjoy reading old novels and spending time with my cat.
