A Fleeting Farewell

I am so excited to be working with the band, A Fleeting Farewell on their social media accounts for my COM 3317 Project! A Fleeting Farewell is the band of my childhood best friend and lead guitarist, Justin Caldwell. The band hails from Kingsport, Tennessee, and has amassed quite a big following of 1,752 followers all on their own. I hope to help them gain more followers and fans through promoting them both on a website I create for them and through my own personal blog! A little background on the band that I pulled from their Facebook page is as follows:
"To the casual listener, it might seem as if music has lost all sense of permanence. Artists ambush the listener out of the woodwork with cheap thrills in the form of gimmick laden EPs, and, just as they develop a fanbase--poof--they vanish. However, in the face of today's transient, here today, gone tomorrow heavy music scene, A Fleeting Farewell are a band who have carved out their niche and are here to stay. Hooking the listener in with intense riffs, getting caught in their head with catchy choruses and steamrolling them with ten-ton breakdowns, A Fleeting Farewell are a young, energetic band that any fan of heavy music won't be able to say "goodbye" to. A Fleeting Farewell was formed by vocalist Josh Reed and guitarist Justin Caldwell in July of 2014. Instantly, they began writing their debut release, Forget Me Not, which even in spite of a tumultuous lineup and a rigorous circuit of shows throughout their local scene, was finally released across every digital outlet imaginable in May of 2015."
Personal biases put aside, they are a group of incredibly talented guys with a real passion for everything they do with their music. I recommend everyone who is interested in the rock or metal genre of music go give them a listen. The band does have upcoming shows on July 15th and August 16th for anyone who may be in the Kingsport area around that time or would like to go see A Fleeting Farewell and a few other bands that will be playing.
